3d Printed Functional Fallout Radio
I wanted a real Fallout Rado. This project actually started out as just the faceplate and knobs. Originally I had intended to make the box out of black walnut. Unfortunatly I didn't get the tree milled up into lumber before the weather turned took hot. So I set to make the whole thing using the 3d printer.
You can watch the build series on YouTube here:
Here are some images of the radio as I progressed through the build.
There was a lot to figure out to make it functional.

Turning this Crosley Harmoney Radio into a Functional Fallout 4 Radio

This is the Radio from the Fallout Game I am trying to Create a Functional Model of
-
The Front View of my model for 3d printing.
-
Had to open up the Crosley Harmoney Radio so I could figure out what I needed to replicate in my model to make it work.
-
Had to rearrange some of the parts on the original tuner board to make them work
-
Had to move the volumn knob off the board, flip the tuner over, and extend the legs on the mode led
-
This is where I got the power for the dial face led. Had to include a 150ohm resistor on the positive side to limit the voltage to the led.
-
Here's a peek inside the model so you can see how the tuner will function.

The back view of the model showing what it should look like once printed and assembled.

Finally got all the part printed for the Project.
-
It's finally done. I now have a Functional Fallout 4 Radio!
-
I think it looks pretty close to the one in the game

A functional radio with several modern conveniences. I got the USB Stick loaded up with the Songs From the Game. Unfortunatly due to copyright issues I can only play the free for use songs in the videos
